Review of Voyage to the Planet
of Prehistoric Women
In this exciting and adventurous class sci fi film, a team of astronauts have
been forced to crash land on Venus. Once there they come under attack by
monsters who turn out to be prehistoric. The teams is able to kill one of the
monster and then discovers the monster was actually a god to the Venusian women
living on the planet. After the monster/god has been killed the women are
naturally quite upset and become determined to destroy the people have invaded
their planet.
The effects in this film, especially considering the classic time frame from
which it hails, are pretty amazing. Just a few of the cool effects you’ll see
are a floating space car and a prehistoric monster that looks ominously real. At
times the atomic powered flying car also doubles as a submarine. The huge man
eating flowers are also pretty cool. The robot scenes with the astronauts are
filled with plenty of action and adventure, as they roll around in the mud. The
sound effects are also pretty amazing. Throughout the movie the Venusian women
are trying to get the invaders to leave their planet, using tactics such as
trying to zap them with thought waves. You actually won’t know until the end
what’s actually going to happen because there’s a sudden surprise twist that
will leave you stunned.
