Review of Kung Fu Kids Break Away
The next time you’re looking for comedy and action, be sure to check out
this movie. The storyline begins with San Mao, who is an orphan wandering around
in search of the mother whom he never knew. After his father died in a war and
his master is shot by enemy soldiers, San Mao has nowhere else to go. Before his
master died; however, he taught San Mao numerous styles of kung fu, many of
which were acrobatic.
San Mao then uses these skills on the street to earn money. As he travels into a
new town he comes into contact with a beggar by the name of Ou Pu Li. Ou Pu Li
lives in the forest with another orphan, a teenage girl by the name of Zsa Zsa
Meng. At first, when the two orphans meet they don’t exactly get along but
eventually they put their differences aside and join together to take down a
street bully.
Unlike some movies, this film contains fighting scenes that are truly
believable. The young actor portraying San Mao does an excellent
characterization job while his action scenes are phenomenal. In addition to the
action scenes there are several comedic relief moments.
This is an excellent movie that works well for viewers of all ages.
